» How many piercings (max) do you think you could get in one ear?

Excluding: industrial, tragus, anti-tragus, rook, daith, snug, and conch piercings. Basically only piercings on the outside rim of the ear including both lobe and cartilage. You can get 14! http://www.bellaonline.us/~bodyart/pierc... Haha but I don't think I'd get more than 3. i knew this girl that i worked with that had like 6 holes going up her ear. i have 3 going up the regular lobe than one cartilage in each ear. basically you can get as many that will fit. depends on the ear. i did my lobe piercings myself [besides the regular ones] how many do you want? be prepared for lots of rubbing alcohol and hard nights sleeping if you plan to do it yourself! If we're talking just how many that you can fit, rather than w...... - 2010-03-12

» PPI Question...

Okay, I was shooting RAW/Fine with my D80. I went out shooting with the new D300. I have it set for "loss-less compression RAW 14-Bit." I take that and edit the RAW with an output to 16Bit TIFF (I know it's not true 16bit, but I don't wanna downsize to 8bit until I'm done editing). But, when I pull up the file it's only in 240ppi. This isn't making sense to me. The D80 was outputing 300dpi, so why is the D300 only giving 240ppi? Or am I messing something up?PPI is only a value used for how an image is displayed on a monitor. You could change it to 300, to 72, to 25 or to 10,000....it wouldn't make a difference to the actual image (as long as you don't re sample as well). Usually, you can specify what you want it to be, at the RAW...... - 2010-03-12

» How do you add music to a movie maker slideshow? I've tried all sorts of ways.?

??Windows Movie Maker? First, go to File at the top of your window and select Import File. Select the music file you want, and then the window will close and your music file will pop up in the folder that you are in. Next, you see in the middle, there's a little section above your clips and below your Collections folders, and it's smack dab between the two. In that little section, press 'Show Timeline.' It'll show your movie in a different format, with three sections, one that says Video, the second one says Audio/Music, and the third that says 'Title Overlay.' Drag your music file into the Audio/Music section, and then position it to where you want your music to start and how long you want it to last...... - 2010-03-12

» Why does turtle need to be out of water?

my turtle doesnt like being out of water wat do i do nowTurtles won't bask until they feel secure in their surroundings. Basking allows them to control their temperature and to absorb UV rays from the sun or from a UVB bulb. Just be patient.Turtles come out to bask under lights. It helps harden the shell, and it also aides shedding of scutes. Scutes or the parts that make up the shell. Just have a heater in the water to keep it warm. Just have an area where he can come out. He will come out sometimes to dry his shell.the first answer is complete nonsense. there are turtles which never come out of water and they dont die like the first person thinksIn the environment you have set up for your turtle, the tank should be filled with water,...... - 2010-03-12

» Is it common for theists to think atheists have no morals?

I can't believe I'm in the religion category, but, *deep breath* here goes: I've heard a few people on Y!A saying that and atheist can't have morals because they have no God or fear of hell. Is this a common point of view? How do you feel about this idea?A lot of them LOVE this point of view. Their religion tells them that only through God is man moral. Which is there way of saying, that if they didn't have God, they'd be drug-taking murderers and rapists. What a lovely bunch of people they are. Me, I don't need an invisible sky-daddy to tell me that such things are wrong.Everyone thinks they are basically good, i.e. moral. » Buttons sometimes stop working

Hey, I made a movie/site in which there are buttons that tell the main content area which .swf to load. Now I don't remember having problems using this method but for some reason, in this movie, its giving me a hard time. Sometimes when I load the site or after a couple of clicks of the buttons, they stop working. They stop working not in the sense of me being able to click and them not responding but in the sense that they act like there arent even buttons (the mouse doesnt even change to the hand). I've noticed that when they stop working while Im testing them in Flash, when I hover the mouse over the button text, it changes to the text "I" icon instead of the hand. Dont know if this will be of any assistance but I am using a non default...... - 2010-03-12

Here are some shots from a photoshoot I did evening, my first time doing couple shots. I hope there aren't too many photos and you aren't bored by the time you are done looking. This is my brother and his girlfriend and they are both very photogenic. They actually posed themselves a couple times when I was thinking what to do next. :blushing: I gave them some idea of what I was looking for in the shot and then they posed themselves as they felt most comfortable. I included both B&W and color as I'm not sure which I like best. I tend to be a color girl and often find it difficult to switch to B&W since I don't know if it's right. » VB Serialize/Deserialize bug with PHP 4.3.10 ++

Hello I have problem with new version of PHP installed on my server. It is the problem, described in thread "slow vbulletin": http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=125489 (http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=125489) The actual bug is - that in PHP 4.3.10 implementation of Serialize/Deserialize was changed, that lead VB to slow down dramatically. I met this problem one year ago, and the solution was to roll back to PHP 4.3.9 and it works for me. Now it is the time for 4.3.11. Once it is installed I start feeling similar problem again: "Database connection fail.." errors, Server die or working very slow, and sometimes stop responding... Question: If it was fixed in php 4.3.11? I just had it installed, and loo...... - 2010-03-12

» Homeschooling and Public School Teams?

I am wondering if anyone knows what the law is about home schooled kids participating in local public school extra curicular activities? I know that in many places in the U.S. the law states that home schooled children must be given the right, but in all the others it is not given. Im in Calgary Alberta Canada and cannot find out if this is a opportunity given to home school children here. Has anyone had this experience? Is this something that the school can have the opption to decide or even the coaches? In Canada the school has the option so tell your parents to go to you local school to askTo the best of my knowledge, Calgary schools still only allow participation by registered students. Often, then reason is given as a safety issue. ...... - 2010-03-12

» Crossing Lyretail and Fancy guppies? (And a few other breeding questions)?

A question I asked yesterday revealed to me that I had fancy guppy females and lyretail guppy males in my community tank. All of my females are pregnant, some very close to popping. What I'm curious about is, what kind of guppies can I expect? Will it be a mix between the two, some of each kind, or only one variety? I know how to do the little genetic cross chart thingy, but I figured this would be more complex than that... So what am I about to get? Also, I don't plan to use a breeder net or anything like that, I have a betta and the guppies to keep the population down, and I have a thick layer of floating plant and some java moss for some survivors to hide in until maturity. They have no mortgage, no debts and an income after tax of £500 per week from pensions and investmentsTheir situation almost exactly mirrors my own. We have no financial problems, and are very happy with our lives. To answer your question, somewhere between average and well off.I think that you have to define "well off" here. Certainly they can live and exist well enough on this income but to have any good quality of life after they have worked hard and raised a family £500 a week won't get you very far. Now Columbus code enforcement and the Department of Public Health are involved. The last thing the veterinarian of the health department said he wants to do is incite panic, but tests for communicable diseases including the Asian bird flu will be conducted on the animals, NBC 4's Nancy Burton reported. The animals, all exotic chickens from outside the country, were found inside a home on East Tulane Road in Clintonville. The city had received complaints about the owner and his animals, and arrived at the home Wednesday with a sea...... - 2010-03-12

» MySQL command for unzipping compressed file?

Hello, I need to know what is the MySQL command to unzip .gz files that contains database backup? I'll be using it with PuTTy on an SSH session if that matters.gzip -d yourfileJust to clarify, it's not a mysql command - it's a system command to run a program.Thank you both. I assume it will be unzipped into the same location? Edit: I'm using WinSCP too & it has a GUI like a FTP client. There's a Untar/GZip option when I right-click on the .gz file but it fails to unzip it!If it's been compressed by cpanel, there's quite a big possibility that it's empty. Normally, the file is uncompressed where you issue the command.Manually tar and gzip /var/lib/mysql/database_name and then move it. That'll do it. tar -cvkzf database_name.tar.gz /var/...... - 2010-03-12

» I need info about my 1984 mercedes 300sd. It stopped driving today. Someone thinks it's the drive chain?

The engine runs fine, but it has been idling very rough for a few months now. This morning I started it up then drove it out of my parking lot. I heard a sound, not very loud. Then I stopped at the stop sign and went to start again and it wouldn't drive. The engine is still running, but it won't go...any ideas? If the engine is still running, it's definitely not the timing chain ( if that's what you meant by "drive chain" ). Either your transmission, differential, or driveshaft just went south on you. Any leaks under the vehicle? Is the driveshaft connected at both ends? More details are required to help you narrow down the problem. It could be something big, like the transmission, or it could be one of the rubber jo...... - 2010-03-12

I am looking for controversial rulings by Judge Toni Higgenbotham in East Baton Rouge ParishThere is a smattering of information available on Judge Higginbotham, including the fact that she received the lowest rating of all family court judges in E Baton Rouge Parish, in a survey of lawyers practicing before the court. Her scores were particularly low in some areas involving "integrity" and "competence". Other records seems to indicate she is well respected by her peers on the bench. As for controversial rulings, although these likely exist, none appeared from a preliminary search. » Pakistan - No let-up in polio cases

No let-up in polio cases By Mukhtar Alam KARACHI, May 1: There has been no let-up in polio cases in the country as a 27-month-old girl, a resident of Mirpurkhas district, Sindh, was confirmed as suffering from the disease on Thursday. The latest victim of the dreaded virus had an attack of paralysis on April 5, following which stool samples were collected and sent to the National Institute of Health. The latest detection took the number of cases in the country so far this year to five, mocking the governments claims that Pakistan was all set to give the disease one final push. Earlier this year, Sindh reported one polio case each from Nawabshah (Jan1), Hyderabad (Jan 25), Shikarpur (Feb 25) and Karachi (April 1). The province has b...... - 2010-03-12

» One question for believers...?

Why is it that YOUR religion is right and the thousands of others are wrong?Rational thought processes should lead most people to the conclusion that an Intelligent-Personal-Creator, or Consciousness exists by all the Information that synchronized all the systems, cycles, and life forms to create a good and severe universe that sustains life. Theology comes from realizing that this person must be all knowing if the creator of all, all powerful within the context to create it all, has full knowledge of everything at all times since the system is sustained and maintained. Ergo the more you derive from rational thought about what we see in nature and what makes sense the more you come up with the entity that is revealed in the Bible. That wou...... - 2010-03-12

Hi, I have some pdf files. I want to put them in a non-web-accessible directory so that general users cannot access it. Can the zoom search engine be used to index such files? There are several options you can consider: 1.) Index the files using Offline Mode. This means you index a local copy of the website on your hard disk (where the PDF files are always accessible). 2.) If you are using spider mode - you need to be more specific with what you mean by a "non-web-accessible directory". Is this a directory protected with HTTP authentication? Or is it simply a secret folder location that is not linked from the rest of the website - and the link is only available to privileged users? For the former, you can allow Zoom to index the ...... - 2010-03-12

Tutor, mentor. What's the difference?IMO a Mentor is more of a personal/emotional experience. You have to pay a tutor. Plus, I think "mentor" usually sounds wiser (or is that "more wise"...not sure if wiser is a word...) and more experienced.I agree that a mentor tends to be more personal, almost someone you feel you could trust with anything, including your worst work. There is more respect involved.A tutor implies that they are directly teaching you a subject whilst a mentor is someone whome you respect who is advising and guiding you through something. Very hazy lines to draw I agree for a tutor can also be a mentor and a mentor a tutor. If you like, I chose the name of mentor because it is a little less formal than a tutor. Just curious how Obama voters answer vs McCain voters ?Voted for Palin/McCain, Individual.Both. The Bill of Rights was primarily included in the Constitution to protect the rights of the individual against a powerful government. Other individual rights included in the body of the Constitution concern habeas corpus and charges of treason. With the addition of the 14th Amendment came the Equal Protection Clause. This clause has been used to protect minorities against the tyranny of the majority. Also they are expensive( about $1000 or more) My contention is that since Laptops are available for $500 these days why can't I find one cheaper than this.
